HOME BIRTH

Coastal Midwifery of South Florida offers one on one prenatal care, scheduled at your convenience. Home Birth is an option for women seeking a non-invasive approach to labor and birth. We view pregnancy and birth as normal, healthy life processes. Our goal is to nurture and empower you through the journey of pregnancy, birth & postpartum while maintaining a healthy low-risk status of the client and baby.

We would like to start by saying congratulations on your new or upcoming pregnancy! We are glad that you have made the educated decision to look into midwifery care & home birth and would be honored to be a part of your journey.

PRENATAL CARE

Midwives take the place of an OB and will maintain the same schedule of prenatal visits throughout your pregnancy. Your midwife will do all of your blood work in the office and will send you to an ultrasound clinic or perinatologist for necessary ultrasounds.

Each of your prenatal visits are 45 minutes to 1 hour in length so that all of your questions are thoroughly answered, your emotional concerns are addressed and your pregnancy is on track. It is our responsibility to ensure that client and baby are healthy as a whole.
